Nobufil PLAx LW Natural is a foaming lightweight filament in a natural material shade. It is especially suitable for weight-optimised models and functional lightweight parts where keeping the weight down matters. Print temperature and material flow can be used to control expansion.
Made in Europe, PLAx LW is based on recycled industrial plastic waste. Heat activates the foaming process during printing, causing the extruded material to expand. This makes it possible to produce lightweight parts with less material. For strong foaming, the manufacturer recommends 230–250 °C and a material flow of approximately 50–60 % as a starting point. The ideal settings need to be calibrated for each printer.
