Fiberlogy FiberFlex Aero Grey is an innovative, foamable TPE filament for particularly lightweight, flexible and durable 3D printed parts. By adjusting nozzle temperature, filament flow and print speed, the degree of foaming can be specifically controlled. This allows the weight, density and hardness of the finished component to be adapted to the respective application.
The particles contained in the filament are activated by heat during printing and increase their volume. This allows the weight of the printed part to be reduced by up to 50% while maintaining the same total volume. Depending on the degree of foaming, filament consumption can be reduced by up to approximately 50% at the same time.
The material properties can be changed layer by layer during printing. This allows, for example, components to be produced with a firmer, abrasion-resistant outer zone and a softer, vibration-damping core.
FiberFlex Aero creates a pleasantly soft, soft-touch surface with a matte, foam-like appearance. The material is ideal for functional components where low weight, flexibility and good shock or vibration damping are required.
