The Starlex DHB HSS+C nozzle 0.4 mm D3x24 combines high precision with extreme durability. It was specifically developed for abrasive materials and is ideally suited for technical components, functional models, and projects requiring high material resistance.
The nozzle is made entirely of hardened stainless steel, which is additionally nickel-plated. This allows it to easily withstand the abrasive properties of carbon fiber, fiberglass, metal, or glow-in-the-dark filaments – materials that wear out conventional brass nozzles very quickly.
Thanks to its 0.4 mm nozzle opening, this model offers the perfect balance between detail accuracy and high material flow rate. It is ideally suited for components that need to be both precise and stable.
The integrated copper sleeve ensures optimal thermal coupling to hotends with a nozzle base diameter of 3.0 mm, as is typical for brass nozzles. Since steel has lower thermal conductivity, the nozzle requires approximately 5–10 °C higher temperature to achieve the same flow rate.
The CNC-machined internal geometry minimizes friction and ensures clean extrusion, even with demanding technical materials. The HSS+C nozzle is designed for printing temperatures up to 320 °C, thus offering maximum flexibility.
