The DSPIAE AS-25CPRD red aluminium sanding block features a curved sanding surface for controlled finishing of convex, rounded and curved model parts. The rigid, shaped profile supports adhesive sandpaper and helps you follow rounded contours evenly.

On curved parts a flat block has limited contact, while a soft sanding sponge can remove material unevenly. The AS-25 Convex is particularly useful for cylindrical details, rounded model components, curved housings, resin miniatures and 3D-printed parts.

How to use the sanding block

The aluminium sanding block is a reusable holder and has no abrasive coating of its own.

1. Select self-adhesive sandpaper in the required grit.
2. Cut the abrasive sheet to match the curved working surface.
3. Remove the backing and apply it smoothly along the curve.
4. Sand rounded surfaces using gentle, even pressure.
5. Change to a finer grit for the final finish.

Ideal for scale modelling, Gundam kits, RC models, resin miniatures and 3D printing.

Monte3D tip: Combine with DSPIAE DSP self-adhesive sandpaper. For flat surfaces use the AS-25FPRD; for 90° inside corners use the AS-25PPRD.
